Reena Miglani is an accomplished business leader with a 20-year career in technology, specializing in executive leadership, strategic growth, and digital transformation. With a strong background in investment banking and a proven track record in tech, Reena excelled in leadership roles that honed her expertise in product development, operations, and innovation.

While thriving in the tech industry, Reena also supported her husband, restaurateur Ajay Walia, as a strategic consultant for his celebrated restaurants, Saffron in San Carlos and the Michelin-starred RASA, later reimagined as Saffron Burlingame. This dual experience laid the foundation for her successful pivot to the lifestyle and hospitality industry.

In 2023, Reena took on the role of business owner and visionary with the founding of Amara, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant opening in San Francisco in mid-2024. Amara brings together the best of Mediterranean food, culture, and aesthetics, creating an elevated and memorable experience for its guests.

Reena’s entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond hospitality. In partnership with her daughter, Nikita Walia, she co-founded First New York, a joint venture with the award-winning creative brand studio BLANK. Together, they curate modern heirlooms for empowered shoppers seeking thoughtful self-expression.

As Reena continues to grow her business ventures, she is preparing to expand her influence as a mentor, offering guidance to women navigating pivotal career moments. Reena resides in the Bay Area with her family, where she remains deeply committed to innovation, hospitality, and empowering others.
